Supported by the Ontario Arts Council, the BIPOC hART MUSIC SERIES will feature 4 signature presentations with the goal of supporting the featured artists in audience development and networking. The series will emphasize the importance of prioritizing diversity in Hamilton’s artistic representation to nurture a healthy and inclusive community. The series will feature during Hamilton Arts Week (June 3-12) as a platform for emerging BIPOC musicians. Musicians selected by our host and curator, DeShaun Jones. DeShaun will bring his 16 years of experience in music management, curation, and consulting to support the trajectory of the featured artists.
Whilst we celebrate incredible presenters and performances during Hamilton Arts Week, HAC is highlighting the amazing groups and organizations that deliver arts programming across the Hamilton region, and letting people know how they can support them. HAC is calling upon our creative community to amplify the urgent request for support, from audiences and businesses who may be in a position to donate.
Information, including how organizations and groups can be added to the initiative, is linked below.
