HAMILTON ARTS & CULTURE "DIGITAL HUB" PROJECT
The Hamilton Arts Council will coordinate, oversee, design and develop a digital, user-friendly events management platform that will centralize promotion and marketing efforts for the regions’ arts organizations
and artists, in both official languages.
A committee, formed of community representatives, will guide key elements relating to accessibility.
This project addresses historical challenges relating to communications and promotions, and the
immediate needs of the sector for reliable digital infrastructure, currently being amplified
by the COVID- 19 pandemic.
The project will also include the creation of a marketing strategy, a public outreach and communication
plan, the development of a toolkit and information sessions for users, and targeted resources to educate
arts organizations and artists.
Hamilton Arts Council are excited to work with the local agency THINKR for this upcoming project.
THINKR consists of a team of passionate experts all with distinct areas of expertise,
experience, and professionalism.
This project is generously funded by Canada Council of the Arts and the Government of Canada (Canadian Heritage), with additional support from the Arts Advisory Commission of the City of Hamilton
The following items are references from community reports and discussions that highlight the needs that will be fulfilled by this project:

Whilst we celebrate incredible presenters and performances during Hamilton Arts Week, HAC is highlighting the amazing groups and organizations that deliver arts programming across the Hamilton region, and letting people know how they can support them. HAC is calling upon our creative community to amplify the urgent request for support, from audiences and businesses who may be in a position to donate.
