Bhairavi Jathar, Studio impressions

Visual Artist, Illustrator, Designer

Waterdown, Ontario

Bhairavi Jathar raised and studied arts in India. She emigrated to Canada. Inspired by the impressionists who painted outdoors, Bhairavi particularly partakes in plein air painting. She has participated in many juried shows and live art shows across Ontario. She has secured couple of public art awards.

Always curious about visiting new places, experiencing different weathers, enjoying adventures with family and finding joy in day to day life, that’s what makes Bhairavi travel everywhere to paint ‘Plein air’ paintings and create illustrations. Old architectural structures, movement and atmosphere can be seen in her work. She hopes that whatever the scene may be, people are able to connect to it and see something of themselves in her art. She enjoys working in different mediums like watercolors, oil pastels, pen-ink and acrylics. As well as loves creating 3D stuff with clay and recycled material.

Bhairavi is born in artistic Indian family. She studied Applied art in her home town. Specialization in Illustration brought detailed study and sense of meaningfulness in Bhairavi's art. Later she earned a Masters in Fine arts. She has also exhibited in India and UK.

Bhairavi gives art lessons to kids and adults in her home based studio and online.
