JoJo Chooi-Harley is a self-taught artist currently residing in Hamilton, Ontario. She has been continuing her self-directed practice while working as a social worker in the Hamilton community.

She is a member of the Worker’s Arts and Heritage Youth Art Council, COBRA (Coalition of Black Racialized Artists) Hamilton, the Hamilton Artist’s Inc., Centre [3] for artistic + social practice, and the Dundas Pop-Up Print Collective.

JoJo Chooi-Harley a first generation Canadian that is Chinese-Malay. She utilizes various printmaking methods to display and mobilize narratives that have been traditionally excluded.
"My practice is centered around the creation and sharing of images for storytelling to help community members understand the complexities of newcomer families."

She has exhibited independently and in group shows within the Hamilton area at: Centre [3] for artistic + social practice, Hamilton Artist’s Inc., Workers Arts and Heritage Centre, Dundas Valley School of Art, and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.
