John Isaiah Edward Hill

John Hill is an Indigenous poet, queer writer, and working class artist. His work, including poetry, sound art, performance art, writing, and mixed media, deals with themes related to enchantment, magic, decolonization, liberation, solidarity, and justice. As a member of many communities, John is dedicated to autonomy, narrative ownership, and community empowerment through collective action and arts. He is currently in the process of creating an organization for Indigenous creatives, makers, artists, and writers to come together and build collective bargaining power and ensure accurate and productive representation within the arts community.
