Karen Klucowicz is a Canadian artist in Hamilton, Ontario. Her concept-driven, bold, abstract, figure-based paintings & mixed media work, are focused on the strength of individuals and how that strength affects relationships.
Ending a tumultuous relationship, Karen survived being held at gunpoint and escaped a life of tremendous highs and lows. The concepts of her paintings all stem from recognizing the strength it took to end that cycle, a willingness to share her story and open communication with others. Her intention is to have others see that they are not alone and enable them to take action to grow healthy relationships .
While Klucowicz has drawn and painted since her earliest recollections, her creative career began as an interior designer (studied at Humber College). Years later, she returned to study editorial illustration in the Communication and Design division of the Ontario College of Art & Design in Toronto. The fields of study cumulated in an entrepreneurial life of business in marketing, branding and creative interiors.
In 2016, Karen returned to her first love of fine art and has devoted herself to it. She has been represented by Raven Art Gallery in the Niagara Region of Ontario, since 2018.
