Monolina has been actively involved in teaching, research, administration and museum vocation since 1995. Monolina trained as an art historian at the University of Minnesota, and received MA and PhD degrees. The domain of art and culture is Monolina's forte; " I enjoy research, writing and public speaking in this area. Simultaneously, I have also been engaged in several multicultural community organizations as speaker, coordinator and administrator, and actively promoted cultural interactions among grade school students, seniors and women groups in Canada and the US ". Monolina is an active board member of the Arts Advisory Commission of the city of Hamilton, has taught at McMaster University, and curated exhibitions in Hamilton.
